This week, we welcome not one but two guest speakers! For the next few weeks, we are doubling up with updates from partner ministries and preachers from our QP family in our sermon time.

So welcome, Lynne Paterson. Lynne was recently appointed Head of Evangelical Alliance in Scotland. The Evangelical Alliance (EA) consists of organisations, churches and individuals across the UK building unity and inspiring mission. With such a broad range of connections, the EA is able to represent Christians to the government and to help believers speak out on public issues. Lynn will be telling us about the EA and its role in supporting Christians in the UK.

And welcome, Simon Baxter. Simon and Moira, along with daughters Isla and Evie, have been part of QPBC for several years now. After graduating from International Christian College, they were called to serve God in marginalised communities and moved to Possilpark, where they led a mission team, helping to grow a new church plant. After 10 years, they moved to Summerston and established Trellis, a ministry to nurture, develop and release Christian workers in pioneering ministry. Alongside Trellis, they have continued to have a heart to see new disciples of Jesus and to develop local leaders in Greater Maryhill. To this end, they are involved in a local community group, connecting with local schools and helping with Bible studies in local prisons, building relationships and seeking to share their lives and faith.

Simon will be leading us in thinking through Jesus’ parable of the Seed and the Sower from Luke 8:4-15.
