Everlasting Life

This is a phrase that for many of us conjures up images of what happens after we die, but could it possibly have anything to do with what we experience here and now? Did God simply send his son to die for our after life or does his death and resurrection have an impact on us today?

I don’t know how much this has to do with my life looking different to what I thought it would, but one of my favourite verses in scripture is found in John 10:10; “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they my have life and have it to the full.” (NIV) This Sunday on QPLive we will be exploring a little bit more of what this means for us to experience everlasting life and life to the full. In addition, we will be thinking about what experiencing life to the full, means for how we interact with the world around us.

This Sunday:

So, before Sunday, why not take some time to read the verses around John 10:10 (John 10:1-11 are the verses we will be looking at on Sunday).

  • What stands out to you in these verses?
  • What is God saying to you through them?
  • Is ‘life to the full’ something you have been experiencing?
  • What do you think ‘life to the full’ might practically look like?

Sunday Services:

A wee reminder that as we get the new carpet fitted in the sanctuary in Camphill, we will not have access to the building this Sunday (30th May) or next Sunday (6th June). We hope that in person services in Camphill will resume on Sunday 13th June, but check out the weekly email and the website for information about an exciting new gathering starting on 6th June.

We want to continue to thank our broadcasting team for all the work they put in behind the scenes for QPLive. This week has involved another important step in the development of QPLive as we move to a more permanent studio space. We look forward to joining with you on Sunday from our QPLive studio.
