This week education in various forms will be at the forefront of the minds of many in our church family.
Tuesday was SQA results day with the various levels of joy and disappointment that can bring and next week sees the start of a new school year, which may also be greeted with different levels of excitement and trepidation. We will take some time to pray for everyone involved in education on Sunday.
Over the summer Adventurers and Explorers have been meeting together in the hall and we have been finding out about the children and young people in the Bible that God worked in and through.
We have looked at the story of David facing Goliath in God’s strength, the boy who shared his lunch and helped feed 5000 people in the process, Josiah, who became King at 8 and was instrumental in turning a nation back to God, Samuel, who heard from God and how Jesus welcomed little children and urged everyone to become like them.
Last Sunday we found out about a brave servant girl who shared the hope of God’s healing power with a Syrian army commander (you may have seen some paper plate face masks about.)
On Sunday the adults and young people will be All-In with the children as we find out more about Timothy and how God used him and what that says to us.
Our theme song for each week has been Young by Seeds Family Worship which is a sung version of 1 Timothy 4:12 (Click the video link below). We will be singing this on Sunday, so you may want to check it out.
See you Sunday!
