We’re All-In this together

This Sunday we are excited to be gathering as all ages and stages to celebrate and worship together.

We will celebrate our children and young people and pray for them as they transition into new learning groups after the summer. We will worship together using words and songs and our bodies. We’ll explore God’s word, learn, and respond together. There may even be a wee treat for Father’s Day.

I know that for some people an All-In service is not their favourite kind of service, but I truly believe that God loves it when we come together to worship him.

Why?

Jesus tells us to welcome children (Mark 9: 36-37) and to become like them (Matthew 18: 2-5), which is hard to do if you never get or take the chance to spend time with them. This Sunday is a chance for us to do just that!

Further on in the New Testament, Paul instructs us to value others above ourselves, to be unified and united in love (Philippians 2: 1-4), as a community of God’s people (1 Corinthians 12: 12-17), all one in Christ Jesus (Galatians 3: 28) for his glory.

An All-In service strives to be a place where every person, regardless of age, ability, or personal preferences, can encounter God, learn with and from each other, and be united in love as a family of God’s people. This is the place we really get to put those verses into practice!

Several people have commented that the words All-In are very obvious in the new Calling our City to Life logo. As we meet together this Sunday, let’s come ready to be All-In, as we worship and encounter God, as we encourage each other, and as we celebrate together.

Blessings
