Queen's Park Baptist Church is about 'Equipping People for Life' (Eph 4:12). We want to offer a quality year out programme that enables people to:     ¤ focus on Christ     ¤ find life to the full in Him     ¤ grow in discipleship     ¤ live out their lives in the community/world How will equip work? Trainees on equip will work part time to support themselves and attend weekly teaching/training sessions of EQUIP on a Monday & Tuesday at QP. EQUIP will be a course which is:     ¤ Local Church based with a commitment to local community involvement & focus     ¤ Discipleship based with an 'apprenticeship' emphasis through shared experience     ¤ Experience based with teaching content to explain and interpret activity & service     ¤ Target based with an individually tailored goal setting & review process The course will have a strong emphasis on:     ¤ DOING time spent during the year that is defined by action     ¤ BEING time spent during the year that is defined by relationship     ¤ TEACHING time spent during the year that is defined by reflection On equip how each trainee responds to these three areas is worked out during the year through regular goal setting sessions and reviews.
