Just wondring if anyone knows how to spell 'shiney / shiny', my reasoning is this, if I were playing football and mishit a shot with the ball coming of my shin. I would call that a shiny!! However I also want to remove the 'e' from the word shine and add a 'y' to make it shiny! But how does that work? The phrase 'I scored with a shiny!!' now has two different meenings, (granted one makes very little sense.) how is a reader to know what you are meaning?
