Building hope in Romania

September 2010 sees the start of the sixth year of equip - the discipleship and training "year out" course.

equip helps to develop a deeper relationship with God the Father, to become more like Jesus and to develop a lifestyle of mission. Its aim is to equip you by providing quality training, excellent teaching and practical ministry experience, with a major focus on investing in character.

equip could be for you, if:
You are committed to serving God and wanting to grow in your faith
You are teachable and willing to try new ways of doing things
You are willing to serve the church and work as part of a team
You are up for giving a year of your life to be better equipped for mission

Taking part in equip is an opportunity to be built up for ministering God’s love and grace in every part of life: in relationships, at work and in voluntary service. The activities involved include:

  • teaching seminars
  • small group and 1:1 discipleship
  • prayer, worship, soaking and journalling
  • projects and practical tasks
  • practical ministry training
  • employment/real life
  • church involvement
  • personal reflection, goal setting and review
  • retreats, outreach days and a short term mission trip
  • fun!

To find out more, see the introductory pack, or get an application form - paper copies are also available from the church office.
Alternatively, you can contact us (select equip in the "Type of enquiry" option) or just speak to any member of the equip leadership team.
